"Tchuu Tchuu" Popeye's pipe

Popeye is a fictional character created by American Elzie Crisler Segar in 1929 for his comic strip The Thimble Theatre. His first appearance was in the daily strip of January 17, 1929.

A rough and touchy sailor, but generous and loyal, gifted with extraordinary strength, he became one of the iconic characters of American popular culture following his cartoon adaptations from 1933 onwards.

We had to pay tribute to the most famous sailor, a POP culture icon who has left his mark on more than one generation.

The statue depicts Popeye crushing a can of spinach for a snack, thus multiplying his strength tenfold to take on his arch-rival. On his boat, in the image of his two loves (Olive or spinach), he sails back to port quickly to do battle with Brutus.
