The game takes place in the ever-expanding open world of the DC Universe, where the Justice League has disappeared, leaving the protection of Earth to their fellow vigilantes from a parallel universe, who have proclaimed themselves the "Crime Syndicate. Sometimes it takes more than a superhero to get the job done: it's the player's turn, along with a band of misfits, to discover the true intentions of this strange new group of superheroes who have come to save the Earth.
